Numbur Paanch Pokhari trek is known for its beautiful natural landscapes, wilderness, and incredible views of Himalayan mountains such Gaurishankar, “Pathibarra” or Bigphera Go Nup and Numbur Chuli (6959m) as being the dominant peak in the area. You will also get the opportunity to visit the famous Thodung Buddhist Monastery and Numbur Cheese factory, one of Nepal’s first cheese factories (established in 1957). This trek offers from rice terraced fields and a subtropical forest to alpine lakes and high altitude pastures as well as Sherpa villages to Likhu Khola glacier. It is rich in flora and fauna. You get to enjoy seeing blossomed rhododendrons in the spring then you also have chances of seeing musk deer, Himalayan tahr (a goat antelope) and elusive snow leopard. This trek is ecologically well preserved and open to tourist for eco-camping trek.
