This is the original Everest Base Camp trail that began with conquest of the Mt. Everest, the world’s highest mountain for the first time in 1953 by legendary Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and Sir Edmund Hillary. This Jiri to Everest Base Camp trekking itinerary also allow the trekkers with adequate time to properly acclimatize. This trek is regarded as one of the best treks in the world to experience the breathtaking views of world’s highest mountains, alpine lakes, glacial river, dense forests, Sherpa culture, people and their warm hospitality.

This trek, offering exclusively the ultimate vista of snow giant peaks such as Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8516m), Nuptse (7861m), Pumori (7161m), Amadablam (6856m) & Khumbu glacier fulfills a trekker’s dream to reality. Climbing the famous landmark Kalapathar (5545m) and reaching the Everest Base Camp (5364m) along the lateral moraine of the Khumbu glacier could be challenging; however, it’s worth seeing the dramatic view of Everest summit, 8 kilometers to the east and beautiful Pumori (7161m) just to the north. As you trek along your experience of being amid a cirque of almighty snow peaks. Moreover, the trek raises thrilling experiences when one encounters the Legendary Sherpa people to their ancient villages that are nestled beneath Everest, the world’s highest mountain. The Sherpas are renowned for their warm smile, hospitality & mountaineering legacy. Passing through rhododendron forests we may see some Himalayan Tahrs (wild goats), and Buddhist Stupas and some of the oldest monasteries on the trail which makes it all interesting and memorable.
