Spellbinding Langtang Ganjala Trek
Langtang region is one of the most wild and picturesque places in Nepal. Its rich culture showcases some ancient Buddhist villages and monasteries that date back to 1300 AD. It has abundant species of flora and fauna – rhododendrons, oak, bamboo forests, orchids; protected wildlife – red panda, wild monkey. There is an option of a challenging beautiful climb to Tserko Ri (5,000m) or an amazing excursion to Lanshisha Kharka glacier moraine. The beautiful pilgrimage site- sacred Gosainkund lake and magnificent view of Ganesh Himal (7,600m/24,934ft) and Langtang II (7,227m/23,711ft) are the highlights of the trek. The Ganjala Pass (5,106m/16,750ft) is considered as one of the most challenging high passes of Nepal. It requires adequate safety measures (depending on pass conditions) for crossing the high pass of Ganjala that will take the trekkers to Helambu, yet another beautiful region.
