Mustang, an isolated and forbidden land, lying in the rain shadow of Himalayas, untouched by the modern civilization, is rich in Tibetan culture and its unique tradition – only accessible to this mystical Himalayan realm is with special permits. Lo Manthang (3800m), the capital is a walled city ruled by its King. Its route has always been important for some scholars and salt trading for centuries. Mystical, it is famous cave which unfolds the history of ancient Buddhism (Bon dharma). The stone carving figure of great scholars like Padmasambhava, and ancient monasteries with a thousand Buddhas’ painting and important ruins and fortes of the valley. Highlights of this trek – an amazing view of dry and arid landscapes with a colorful montage of earthen reds, yellows and brown and spectacular view of snow covered giants like Dhaulagiri (8,167m) and Annapurna I (8,091m); offering a view of more than 35 mountains over 6000m.
